Meet the Authors
Grace ~ I'm a Christian home educated teenager. After Bre and I joined Lord of the Rings Junkies Anonymous, Step Five featured substitution. Thence entered Mr. Sherlock Holmes. I've read all of the books, and...Mary Russell; don't hit me! All I can say is, me, Bre, and Holmes (Watson can come too) are like this. *crosses fingers* Oh, and Jeremy Brett? Bre is one of my top five heroes for many reasons, but a huge reason being that she introduced me to JB. *swoons* *recovers* The definitive Holmes, in my opinion.
Bre ~ I'm a homeschooled Christian teen, like Grace. Grace and I determined that recovering Lord of the Rings addicts naturally turn to Sherlock Holmes instead. Which makes sense...at least, it does in my head :). So we're making this blog as our therapy. We can't get it all out otherwise ;D And I totally agree with Grace - Grace, and Holmes and I are super tight. *nods* For the record, my belief is that Jeremy Brett is irreplaceable. He's so awesome. Nobody has played Holmes quite like him...and I don't believe anyone ever will.
Ah yes, that's a favorite part :) When I was watching it, I was on youtube with my laptop and earbuds on the couch..so when he did that I must've emitted some strange sound because my parents and two younger sisters were all staring at me when I looked up :) My mom said "What?" I said: "He just jumped over the couch!" and proceeded to laugh...and my sister rolled her eyes. (they're not Sherlockians, unfortunately :| They don't get it. lol)
I do love the Dancing Men episode...the photos made my day. :) (Especially that part where he is showing Watson...oh, my. I was laughing really hard...'cause it's Holmes, and Holmes makes me laugh)
lol Bre! I love his little half-smiles and then after them his face just goes totally serious again...those make me laugh too. :)
Ooo...Grace, you call him JB? I like that...so then you don't have to type Jeremy Brett, and you can just say JB. ;) Brilliance, dear Grace. Brilliance. JB would be proud of you. (lol jk)
He sure had one of the most contagious laughs!! =) I was watching Scandal in Bohemia today, and I just love to hear him laugh... Especially the part after the Bohemian king tells of all the different ways they tried to find the photo.
haha! Mary, I call him JB too :D I'd say it's more of..shall we say, a term of endearment, than an abbreviation :D And I love those half smiles too. I giggle every time :D
And yes, Marian, he did!! Did you see the video I posted...I think in September...anyway, it's a post called "Watch this if you need a laugh" - I found a video on youtube someone made my putting a whole bunch of his laughs together :D I laughed so hard the whole time :D it was great.

I thought of another part too - during the Musgrave Ritual, when he was...having a drug moment, you could say...with the blanket wrapped around his shoulders in front of the fireplace. I couldn't stop laughing. That's in the video too, I think...
I love when he's pretending to have some tropical disease in the Dying Detective...that is the best!!! He's so amazingly hilarious in that little sequence... =D *laughs* Oh my...
lol Those are pretty funny shots, Amy, but in the movie, he does them really quickly...so you don't have a lot of time to see them. It does fit perfectly with what he's doing though ;) lol
Great stuff!! I also love the part where he jumps over the settee, in Red-Headed League. :D

Mary! Holmes makes ME laugh too! Especially when he pulls all those faces when he's trying NOT to laugh himself :D
