Happiness

I have not posted in a while, because I am a naughty blog writer who does not uphold her end of the bargain. Sassy me. Sorry 'bout that. ;) But to continue.

I just watched "The Bruce Partington Plans", and while I found the story not terribly diverting, Jeremy Brett was so ridiculously happy. It indeed warmed my heart to observe his split-second half smiles, snorts, shouts of laughter, and general merriment. That is all, so you should go watch it again or for the first time, because it's happy. =D

Granada Episode List

For everyone's future reference :) I keep mine in a notebook (I call it my Holmes Notebook - I wrote my entire rough draft of the Gold-Engraved Box in there, plus a bunch of blog post rough drafts and notes from an SH computer game my sister and I played :D) and put a little checkmark by the ones I have seen. Which...I've seen a lot, believe me. lol

And for those who don't know - Granada is the creator of the series with Jeremy Brett. You probably hear me (and Grace) talking about him quite a lot...he's our favorite actor who has portrayed Holmes on TV as of yet...he's irreplacable, in my honest opinion.

These are in order of their air date, I believe...don't quote me on that though :D Each episode is 1 hour long...unless I specify (there are 5 full-length movies :D)

___________________________

Series: Return of Sherlock Holmes

The Empty House
The Abbey Grange
The Musgrave Ritual

The Disappearance of Lady Frances Carfax

The Illustrious Client
The Creeping Man
The Master Blackmailer (2 hours - based on Charles A. Milverton)

The Eligible Bachelor (2 hours - based on Noble Bachelor)

Series: Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes

The Three Gables
The Dying Detective
The Golden Pince-Nez
The Red Circle
The Mazarin Stone (JB is only in this one for about...2 minutes - he was too sick to film. Mycroft and Watson solve it - this story is combined with the Three Garridebs. It's a little weird..but well done nonetheless.)
The Cardboard Box

They would've kept going, but the Cardboard Box was finished and released in April of 1994 - JB died September of 95...his health was declining rapidly. So...yeah. He was super sick. And only 61 :(

Anyway, enjoy the list, I hope it's helpful :D

Holmes Trivia 2

Time for round 2!

This round contains 10 questions (yes, I changed it up a bit ;D).

Remember, no googling! Only use the books for reference if absolutely needed. Try to rely on your wits, you're all smart (otherwise you wouldn't be a Holmesian :D)!

This round, I am going to list a client's name - you list the case (the title of the mystery they brought to Holmes), or I'll list the case, you list the client's name (those are harder, believe me :D)

Tell me your answers in a comment, and I will put up the correct answers in a new post or another comment.

Name the Case:
1. John Openshaw

2. Susan Cushing

3. Alexander Holder

4. Victor Hatherley

5. Violet Hunter

6. Grant Munro

7. James Damery

Name the Client
8. The Red-Headed League

9. The Man with the Twisted Lip

10. The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle

Alright. I think it's all straightened out now...

Ok, I think I got this all fixed.

What I did, is import the old blog to this new one, which is, in fact, the exact same thing as the old one, with fixed html. The old link (if you need to go back) I changed, so that you guys would be automatically transferred to the new, fixed blog: www.diaryof-aholmesian.blogspot.com

Just so you know it's exactly the same, it just looks a lot better.

Nothing has changed, except for the followers. So, if you were a follower of this blog and actually had your name and picture down in the "Fellow Sherlockians" box, then please go ahead and follow it again.

I'll give it a couple of days and see how many people transfer before deleting the old blog. Hopefully everybody makes it alright!

Sorry about the confusion, I won't be doing this again anytime in the near future!
Bre

Under Construction...

Hey everybody...

You may have noticed in the past few days that something weird is going on with the blog...

I have been trying out new blog templates, and somehow the html got a little messed up with the blog description on the old layout.

So...I'm going to be messing around with this for a bit, and trying to get it back to normal. In the meantime, just know that nothing's wrong, and the old layout will be back soon (hopefully ;D)
